Little Explorers Music & Movement

Music Literacy for children is taught through playing games & movements of various genres of music–Classical to 21st century and pop songs. Develop your child’s motor and coordination skills through singing, dancing and playing.

    1.⁠ ⁠*Solfege Singing* – Developing pitch awareness and vocal confidence. 

    2.⁠ ⁠*Ear Training* – Enhancing listening skills to recognize pitched musical notes, tones and patterns.

    3.⁠ ⁠*Music Notation & Theory* – Introducing basic music reading and writing.  

    4.⁠ ⁠*Rhythm & Movement (Body Percussion)* – Strengthening coordination and rhythmic sense. 

    5.⁠ ⁠*Classical & Folk Song Dances* – Encouraging creativity and cultural appreciation through movement.

    6.⁠ ⁠*Sight Reading* – Building early music reading fluency.  

    7.⁠ ⁠*Foundations in the Elements of Music* – Exploring dynamics, tempo, and expression.

    The program emphasises on 3 methodologies of Education. 

    Kodaly 

    1. Develop pitch awareness & recognition by Solfege 
    2. Learn the Curwen Hand Sign & Solfege 
    3. Have basic foundations in aural (ear training) and sight-reading  
    4. Develop Music Literacy skills through a playful way 
    5. Recognise simple melodic patterns ( what is music form) 

    Orff

    1. Learn What is body percussion 
    2. Understand what is a bordun–a doh-sol (1-5) ostinato
    3. Develop coordination skills  using their body as the instrument
    4. Develop a sense of rhythm and pulse
    5. Know the foundational Music Elements 

    Dalcroze 

    1. Explore Time, Space and Energy in music where rhythm, meter, tempo, phrasing, spatial awareness are developed
    2. Express with emotion using body movements & props in response to music. 
    3. Rhythm awareness is established
    4. Develop social, motor & coordination skills 
    5. Exploration and improvisation of movement.

    A 8 lesson program for young toddlers to explore what the music world is-- Sing, Play and Dance in class.

    Focus on Kodaly & Singing. Learning Scales and music notation reading. Learn to Play the melody lines of Nursery Songs.
